James FAIRBAIRN, 21, joiner, b ROX also given as "son", (given this is patently not true for a 33 yr old father, I had assumed he was either a brother, with the relationship transcribed incorrectly, or if a son, the age was transcribed wrongly. Having now seen the entry, it clearly says 21 and son. My next thought was that as he is after the 3 yr old dtr, perhaps the age is meant to be 2? That could explain how come no birth cert has been found as yet, but he would hardly be described as a joiner if so!!). Living next door to Walter F, grocer and cheesemonger, 43 (and family) b ROX.
