	Obit: 11 Oct The many friends of Mr. Lachlan A. Fairbairn will regret to leam that he died yesterday morning at his residence, Ardoch Towers, Essendon, after about two weeks' illness. The late Mr. Fairbairn had taken a prominent part in pastoral matters, being the founder of, and for many years the senior partner of, the firm of L. A. Fair- bairn and Company, stock and station agents, of Melbourne. He retired from business a few years ago, since when he confined himself to attending to his many grazing properties. He leaves a widow, two sons, and two daughters In Memoriam: FAlRBAlRN. - In memory, of our dearly loved brother, Lachlan Alexander Fairbairn, who departed this life on 10th October, 1918. Passing out of the shadow Into a purer light; Stepping behind the curtain, Getting a clearer sight. Laying aside a burden, This weary, mortar coil; Done with the world's vexations, Done with its tears and toil.
